Drama queen

I know I am supposed to post one more poem, but I am kind of idea-less right now.I do have a hindi poem (posted as another entry). So just read this one for now.

In a normal girl’s life, there are two queens who rule their lives and these queens are the most important people in their lives. One is their mother, and one is their best friend. These two people celebrate their birthdays with just a five-day gap. So I decided to dedicate this article to them. This is the tohfa! Tohfa! Tohfa! Tohfa! jo main laayi! Laayi! Laayi! Laayi!( This is an old Hindi song. It basically means the gift which I bought) These two queens influence the girl’s life a lot. They are an integral part in the development of our lives.

(If you are a psychopath, your queens might just be into Queen Elizabeth and Rani Lakshmibai.)

Maa and Annie are queens. So let’s add a twist to their tale and convert them into drama queens! So let’s see how they would be if they were movie characters from Hindi movies:
1)    Maa- My maa is like Kajol aka Anjali from Kuch Kuch Hota hai. She is more like the bubbly, tom-boyish, basketball-playing, bob haircut, not-a-typical-sanskari*-indian woman. She is not like the Kajol in the second half. She turns crazy at times and dances with the scrappy sister. She got a tattoo made on her birthday. She is full of enthusiasm like Anjali. I am not like the little Anjali in the movie and my father isnt Srk (we aren’t that dramatic).

2)    Annie- Everyone remembers the eternal friendship of Jai and Veeru in Sholay. Me and Annie are like a female version of theirs. We are crooks at time.We are maryada purshottam** also. Our Radha and Basanti are Akshay Kumar (mine) and Taylor Lautner (hers). We are crazy. We are insane. We are us. Our friendship is forever like Jai and Veeru’s lives on even after Jai’s death. Till death do us apart!

So that was my entry. Ye choriyan badi drama queen ban jaati  hai kabhi kabhi (Again a hindi song, it means that these girls turn into drama queens at times).Hope you enjoyed reading this short and sweet article. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAA AND ANNIE!

Maa

Me and Annie
